Since joining the firm in 2022, Zayna has handled work related to company incorporation, foreign investments, reviewing and drafting agreements, due diligence, assisting in litigation matters, and legal translations and summaries of Acts and Regulations.

She has also assisted on major transactions in relation to:

  • ⁠The acquisition of islands, lagoons, and hospitality properties by foreign multinational clients
  • ⁠Conducting IPO-related research for a state-owned enterprise.

 

Non-legal Work: 
Outside of her legal career, Zayna demonstrates her commitment to social causes through her dedicated volunteer work with the Cancer Society of Maldives, where she participates in vital cancer screening outreach trips to remote islands and provides pro bono legal assistance to strengthen the NGO’s advocacy efforts and organisational framework.

Education and Background

Zayna is a dedicated legal professional with a strong academic foundation and extensive practical experience in the field. She read law at an undergraduate level from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom, and pursued the LPC and MSc in Law and Business, training to become a Solicitor at the University of Law, London, United Kingdom (incorporating College of Law).
