Suma joined SHC Lawyers LLP in 2018 as a Paralegal. She regularly assists reporting lawyer with corporate and commercial law assignments including foreign investment regulatory approvals, business registrations, due diligence enquires, security registrations, intellectual property and litigation support matters.

In December 2021, Suma graduated with a Bachelor of Shari’ah and Law with Honours from The Maldives National University. Upon graduation, Suma was offered a training contract with SHC Lawyers LLP.

Suma is the founder and president of the Maldives Moot Court Society, a training platform for young budding lawyers and students to enhance advocacy skills. Suma represented The Maldives National University in the 27th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and received an honourable mention for the respondent’s memorandum. She was also recognized as the best delegate in her committee at the Model OIC International Summit 2021.
