Juni is an experienced commercial and corporate lawyer.

Juni’s practice is primarily banking and finance, tourism real estate and hospitality.

Juni has extensive experience in the cross-border banking and hospitality sector, especially on multi-million dollar sales and acquisitions, high value hotel acquisition finance, lease structure and management agreements.

Juni regularly advises hotel owners and operators on regulatory compliance and operational matters.

Juni has advised and represented renowned hoteliers, private and state-owned companies, and local and international banks on various commercial and employment disputes, during which she has contributed towards several landmark cases in Maldives.

Education and background

Juni read law at undergraduate level at the University of Reading, UK.

Juni has also undertaken training in international arbitration and is a Member of Centre for International Arbitration (CiArb), London.

Juni previously trained and worked at a tier 1 leading law firm in Maldives where she developed her practice in banking, hospitality and tourism real estate, foreign investments, employment law, arbitration and dispute resolution.
