Mergers and acquisitions

We acted for the Blackstone Group in 2014 for the acquisition and merger of world’s largest seaplane operations by Maldives Air Taxi and Trans Maldivian Airways. We also acted for Blackstone on the sale of the business in 2018 to Bain Capital and the Tempus Group.

Joint ventures

We have advised on various high-profile joint ventures and strategic alliances. Our experience includes advising on the joint venture of the Cosmopiltan Group – one of the largest food suppliers in Maldives, between Champa Group and Denmark-based Wrist Group, and the strategic venture between EON Resorts and Abu-Dhabi based Mubadala Group for operation of a Viceroy hotel in Maldives.
