Dhanish holds an LL.B with Honours from Manchester Metropolitan, United Kingdom and a Masters with Merit in Corporate and Commercial law from Queen Mary University London. Dhanish also completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) in which he undertook, drafting legal writing, negotiating and advocacy as part of his training.

Prior to joining SHC, Dhanish completed internships both at the Prosecutor and Attorney General’s Office in the

Maldives. Dhanish also completed the Introduction to International Arbitration course from the CIArb.

Since joining SHC in 2021, Dhanish’s main practice area has been banking and financing, hospitality and tourism.

Recent Experiences:

• Assisting in the acquisition of various hotels, islands, and lagoons by foreign multinational groups.
• Assisting foreign investors to register and set up in the Maldives which includes obtaining the relevant licenses and permits.
• Translation of various legal acts and regulations from Dhivehi to English language.
• Assisting both local and foreign companies in litigation matters.
