Mizfa is an experienced commercial and corporate lawyer. Mizfa’s main practice areas includes banking and finance, tourism real estate, hospitality, infrastructure and employment.

Mizfa has been exposed to various transactions on cross-border banking and hospitality sector, especially on multi-million-dollar sales and acquisitions, high value hotel acquisition finances, HMAs and strata-title villa leases.

Mizfa actively advises on construction and development matters in hotels including reclamation and construction contracts under FIDIC. She regularly advises hotel owners and operators on regulatory compliance operational matters.

In addition to that she advises various foreign-owned companies for registration of foreign investments in the Maldives, including initial set-up and establishment of a local presence, obtaining various licenses and permits.

Mizfa is a graduate from the University of London, UK and has been admitted to the Bar of Maldives.

Mizfa frequently engages in pro-bono work in humanitarian projects, and has experience internationally and locally including Amnesty International, Royal Commonwealth Society, Mission for Migrant Workers of Maldives, etc.

She is currently engaged as the National Consultant by WHO Maldives.
