Shazfa is a member of the Associations of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and has over five years of experience working in the Maldives inland Revenue Authority.

She initially held the positions of Senior Tax Officer of Large Taxpayer Audit Section and International Tax Audit Section, and later went on to become Deputy Manager of Large Taxpayer Audit Section where she was leading and assisting the team in carrying out audits of large taxpayers in the Maldives.

During her tenure at the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority, she has undergone multiple training on International Taxation and Transfer Pricing including Advanced Professional Certificate in International Taxation by International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD)  and Tax Inspectors Without Borders (TIWB) by the  Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
