Haifa has over 11 years’ experience as a commercial attorney in the Maldives and regularly advises a diverse client base, including banks and financial institutions, owners and operators of local and international hotels and tourist resorts, guest houses, domestic and international airlines companies, international aircraft lessees, construction companies,  government and public companies, etc. on a wide range of corporate, commercial, lending and financing, investment structuring, taxation and employment matters. 

She is an experienced litigator and has represented clients in Maldivian courts and tribunals, in various contentious disputes.   Haifa has a practicing license to appear before the Supreme Court of the Republic of Maldives. 

Haifa is well versed in banking and finance regulatory matters owing to her years of service at the Maldives Monetary Authority (central bank) as an in-house counsel and later as the project manager of the payment and settlement system development project.

Haifa graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) degree from the University of London in 2006.
